As an agricultural organization, our work relies on the environment. We’re committed to enforcing sustainable and responsible farming practices that respect the land we farm that our employees call home. These practices include following environmental regulations for greenhouse flower production and implementing our own sustainability initiatives.

Our waste management plan includes in-house composting stations for plant material, an integrated pooling system and robust recycling process to ensure we reduce waste across the board.

Our farms use safe pest control processes as an alternative to harmful neonicotinoids to keep the soil and water toxin-free for local bees. We also have established reserves to protect our natural wildlife populations.

Foundation

By establishing the Fernando Borrero Foundation in 2000, we sought to provide our employees with the tools, resources, and education to enrich their lives. Today, this organization provides hundreds of elementary school students access to education, and thousands of adults access to advanced educational programs, financial support, healthcare programs, and much more. 

Auki Project

The Auki project works to provide vegetable patches to elderly communities in Ecuador. Our efforts help them thrive by providing an opportunity for income and allowing them to foster community in a fun and engaging way.
